Military Engineers Day

The Military Engineers Day is organized by the Chief of Military Engineering colonel Jiří Tršo and the Engineer Regiment Commander colonel Jiří Lustyk on the premises of military barracks in Bechyně, the residence for the 151st Engineer Battalion.

The celebrations were opened by the guard of honor of the 15th Engineer Regiment at 4pm but were preceded by the international obstacle course The Iron Engineer in which participated individuals and teams from Czech, Slovak and Polish army corps and Integrated Rescue System, therefore the celebrations were attended not only Czech Army representatives, but also Slovak and Polish Military Engineers representatives, present and former members of Engineering corps and other important guests as well.

The event was accompanied with a static demonstration of Military Engineers equipment. In his speech, the Chief of Military engineering mentioned a need for modernization of the obsolete equipment.
