RENAULT Trucks Defense and VOP CZ state enterprise signed a major service agreement on Wednesday 16 May at the International Defence Exhibition 2018 in Bratislava.
The Service Support & Workshop Agreement is based on the Global Framework Agreement that VOP CZ and RENAULT Trucks Defense SAS signed in April 2018. This Global Agreement defines the basic framework of the partnership in several areas. Key areas include a servicing partnership, including assurance of the life cycle of RENAULT Trucks Defense vehicles, as well as collaboration in the field of research and development on various projects or collaboration on manufacture or assembly of individual components for vehicle marques falling under RENAULT Trucks Defense (ACMAT, PANHARD).
The Service Agreement concluded today defines the terms for collaboration in two key areas, which are sales and distribution of original RTD spare parts and accessories through VOP CZ and provision of services, i.e. servicing, repairs, maintenance and training in regard to products that RTD sells to end customers. Original parts and products mean not only products known under the Renault brand, but also products belonging under this group, i.e. ACMAT and PANHARD.

The RENAULT Trucks Defense Company offers a wide range of armoured vehicles intended for armed forces and security forces. These vehicles are used by the French armed forces and also several NATO armed forces. The individual RENAULT Trucks Defense vehicles use a high percentage of identical components, which is a great benefit from the aspect of subsequent assurance of spare parts, logistics and management of the life cycle of the equipment. RENAULT Trucks Defense, representation for the Czech Republic and VOP CZ have already realised three presentations of Sherpa Light, Higuard and ALTV Acmat vehicles together. These vehicles are a suitable alternative for modernisation of the ground equipment of the Czech Armed Forces. Presentation of the third generation of armoured VAB vehicles, including demonstrations of the vehicles crossing water on a reservoir, is currently being planned.
VOP CZ is a state enterprise established by the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic. The enterprise has over 70 years of experience in military ground equipment and is a key partner to the Czech Armed Forces. The enterprise’s key activities include development, manufacture, repairs and modernisation of military ground equipment. In the past VOP CZ has successfully modernises tanks into the T-7M4 CZ version, it has manufactured 107 PANDUR II armoured vehicles for the Czech Armed Forces and hundreds of armoured cabins for NIMR Automotive from the United Arab Emirates. The enterprise also specialises in the field of vehicles for combating CBRN weapons of mass destruction.
