On October 19-21, 2022, the Future Forces Exhibition, an international trade fair for trends and technologies in defence, was held at the PVA EXPO PRAGUE Exhibition Grounds. The exhibition is focused on the presentation of current and future needs of armed and security forces, the latest technologies, development and innovation programs.
ARQUUS, together with the state-owned enterprise Military Technical Institute – VTÚ, presented a light attack vehicle on the SABRE platform, which was modified to meet the requirements of the Army of the Czech Republic.
The vehicle is offered in tender for a new light attack vehicle for the Army of the Czech Republic by the Military Technical Institute, state enterprise. The company’s ability to develop and subsequently produce such a vehicle was verified on the construction of a functional sample, which the professional public could see at the Future Forces 2022 exhibition. The functional sample was built in the basic vehicle design – a combat vehicle. From this variant, the command vehicle, the liaison vehicle, the carrier of anti-tank guided missiles, the carrier of the mortar and the reconnaissance vehicle will be derived.
SABRE is part of a comprehensive production program of the Sherpa Light vehicle range. This series includes a number of other, even enclosed armoured vehicles, which could also meet other needs of the Czech Armed Forces – armoured ambulances, etc. The use of vehicles of one design and production series would make it possible to use a unified service and logistics base, thus simplifying the operational security of vehicles and operating costs.
